The Tåsen store Smallmatters has been open for almost a year, hidden behind roadworks. - It's tough. The premises at Tåsenveien 26 have housed Smallmatters for just under a year. From its inception in 2018, the company has been a purely online store, but now you can physically shop for everything from tote bags and folders, to towels and sweaters - all made from textile remnants, textile waste and surplus textiles.

They turn textile waste into gold – increased online sales by 150 percent

For three years, Smallmatters has been producing materials that others call waste. It all started as a B2B adventure, but today the founders Janicke Lorange and Line Houge are successful in both the HORECA market, among private individuals and the public market.

As the 2021 pandemic has ravaged the hotel, travel and nightlife industries, new opportunities are opening up along the way. The customer list is growing, as is the online store, which increased by a whopping 152 percent during 2021.
